Love Island USA Season 7 runner-up Nic Vansteenberghe made his Beyond the Villa debut during the Season 2 finale, popping in for a quick drink and catch-up with TJ Palma. Both were able to find love in the Villa, with TJ making things official with Iris Kendall and Nic still going strong with Olandria Carthen.

Dubbed "Nicolandria" by passionate fans, the couple were just friends for the majority of their time in the Fiji until Casa Amor nearly sent them home. To save themselves, they coupled up and shared a steamy kiss, but that still wasn't quite enough for them to pursue a romantic relationship. However, weeks later and only days before the Finale, Nic and Olandria had another chance to couple up and explore their connection, resulting in a second place win.

During their chat on Beyond the Villa, Nic and TJ bonded over the unique challenge of navigating a long-distance relationship with fans and critics alike watching your every move. Nic even shared a story about his YouTube followers critiquing what they felt was a "small" Christmas gift he got for Olandria from Louis Vuitton after she gifted him a glittering diamond watch.

"I was like, 'F**k you! I got her something good,'" he joked. "You kind of control the narrative in a little bit of the way. I only let people see 10%."

However, he did confess that maintaining their romance amidst their busy schedules has been difficult, but they see each other when they can.

"The DJing is so time consuming... She’s in Houston, so it’s only 2.5 hours away, but at the same it’s like she is never in Houston and I’m never in Florida," he said. "I’m probably in a club Wednesday through Saturday, and she’s 99% doing a shoot throughout the week or whatever. But honestly our schedules have been aligning up pretty nicely. She coincidentally was in LA yesterday, so we got dinner, chilled, kicked it. Just pray that it aligns."
