Love Island USA's Sincere Has an Update on Where Things Stand with Melanie Post-Finale

Season 8 of Love Island USA may have come to an end, but fans never get tired of staying caught up with the Islanders, and we officially have an update about Melanie Moreno and Sincere Rhea.

In the passing weeks since Love Island USA's Season 8 finale, the final four couples have attracted plenty of attention as fans see them return from Fiji and settle into life beyond the Villa. Ahead of the Season 8 reunion dropping August 31, Sincere spoke with Complex about his growing connection with Melanie since hopping off the plane. A little refresher: Sincere and Melanie ended their stay in Fiji on rocky terms after Sincere's behavior throughout the season was exposed on Movie Night, and Melanie's sister expressed her concerns for Melanie during Family Day. Despite this, they chose to stick with their connection until the very end. Naturally, fans are thirsty for an update.

"Melanie and I, we're still working on it," Sincere revealed. "I'm still winning her family over, I'm still winning Melanie over. Just rebuilding all of that trust from the foundation up."

During the post-Villa catch-up, Sincere was keen to address the elephant in the room: are Melanie and Sincere still together after their whirlwind romance in Fiji? Sincere says that he and Melanie are still figuring things out after the chaotic season, but now within the sharpened lens of the real world.
"I just want to prove to her and prove to myself — and prove to everyone honestly — that I am a better person than what was on that screen," Sincere explained. "And I can change and be someone who does want to change."
Now that the couple is back home, Sincere is looking forward to wooing Melanie with all of the romantic dates they dreamed about while together in the Villa. While Melanie is still enjoying some much-deserved R&R, Sincere is looking forward to what's next on the horizon.
"I definitely can't wait to still have a lot of dates and go and do things with her," Sincere shared. "She's just resting up, and she's still getting a lot of stuff scheduled right now, so she's taking time. But yeah, she's in a great mindset right now. She's fine."
