In an attempt to promote the Pawnee Zoo, Leslie holds a marriage ceremony for two recently acquired penguins. Unbeknownst to her, the penguins are allegedly gay. Instead of the public receiving it as a wholesome publicity statement for the zoo, Pawnee citizens criticize her for making a political statement out of their furry new friends.

Best quote:

Marcia: When you symbolically married those penguins on government property you took a stand in favor of the gay marriage agenda.

In this episode, the highs and lows of Ron and Tammy’s toxic relationship are on full, hysterical display and we learn Ron’s true weakness.
