Every Host and Musical Guest of Saturday Night Live UK
The eight-episode season is already off to a fantastic start, with exciting lineups ahead.
Eleven months after news first dropped that Saturday Night Live UK was in development with England's Comcast-owned Sky network, the March 21 first episode premiered amid much speculation. Both in the UK and stateside, people had wondered whether the 51-season-old format would translate across the pond.
The verdict? British newspaper The Telegraph deemed the new show's inaugural night "shockingly competent." When Sky's Instagram account quoted the review over an image of cast member Jack Shep's well-received Princess Diana impression from the "The Last Supper" sketch, the caption dryly noted, "For Britain, this is the highest of praise." UK tabled Metro, meanwhile, deemed it "unexpectedly brilliant," and fan reception loudly echoed the praise across social media.
But with SNL creator Lorne Michaels executive-producing and a cast that boasts a deep and diverse range of talents, the spinoff's out-of-the-gate excellence shouldn't be a surprise. This season will consist of eight episodes in total, meaning there's still a healthy handful of hosts and musical guests yet to be revealed.

March 21, 2026: Host Tina Fey and Musical Guest Wet Leg
Tina Fey was a Saturday Night Live head writer and a cast member for six seasons, after which she returned to host six times. She went on to create and star in 30 Rock, a seven-season sitcom that fictionalized what it's like to run a late-night sketch show, which co-starred her former SNL cast mate Tracy Morgan. All of this made Fey a fitting choice to host the very first run of SNL UK. Plus, as she said in her March 21 monologue featuring Graham Norton, Nicola Coughlan, Michael Cera, "none of you f---ers would do it."
