It’s here: The first-ever streaming-exclusive NFL Playoff game. The Peacock Wild Card Exclusive brings you one of the most exciting games of Super Wild Card Weekend. Make sure you’re able to stream all the action from Kansas City, MO where the Miami Dolphins will take on the hometown Chiefs.

Miami Dolphins vs. Kansas City Chiefs

The Dolphins (11–6, 2nd in AFC East, 6th Seed) had their best season in a long time. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa passed for 4,624 yards and 29 touchdowns. The best part? He stayed healthy for the entire season. The Dolphins made the playoffs last year, but they had to rely on rookie third-string backup Skylar Thompson. Thompson did a fine job though, and the 34–31 loss was much closer than anyone predicted. The Dolphins were that competitive even dealing with as many injuries as they were last year. The team does have some key players missing this year, but Tagovailoa, in the midst of his best season yet, is playing on Saturday. That alone gives the Dolphins an edge, especially when he’s throwing to Wide Receiver Tyreek Hill.

Hill was a limited participant during practice this week as he’s dealing with ankle and quad injuries, but he will be ready to go on Saturday. He already has the speed and explosiveness to leave opposing defenders in the dust, but this week he’ll be playing against his old team. He’s going to want to show the Chiefs exactly what they gave up when they traded him. Helping Hill and Tagovailoa out will be rookie running back De’Von Achane. Achane missed the last matchup with the Chiefs, but he’ll be back on the field this week. He’s already one of the fastest running backs in the league, and he’ll be playing against a defense that has struggled to stop the run this season. With all those tools at the Dolphins’ disposal, they might be looking at their first playoff win in over 23 years.

The Chiefs (11–6, 1st in AFC West, 3rd Seed) have just had the worst regular season of the Patrick Mahomes era, with Mahomes himself recording his worst season so far. The funny thing about that is the worst season for the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs is a dream scenario for almost any other team in the NFL. Other quarterbacks would have loved to put up Mahomes’ numbers this year. 4,183 passing yards and 27 touchdowns is a down season? Sure. It is true that the Chiefs have had to contend with dropped passes. Chiefs receivers dropped more passes than any other team this season, which led to some big losses. It’s enough of an issue that this Saturday’s game isn’t a guaranteed win.

Even considering all those drops though, they still won the division. Mahomes and Tight End Travis Kelce are a dynamic and dangerous combination. When the pressure’s on, they pull out all the stops to win. The Chiefs have other advantages going into Saturday’s Wild Card game too. They’ve already beat the Dolphins once this season when they met in Germany. This time, they’ll be playing at home in front of a friendly Arrowhead crowd in bitter Kansas City cold. (Possibly down to 5 degrees with the wind chill putting bringing the temperature down to almost –30.) The Chiefs get to practice in that. The Miami Dolphins, not so much. This will be a tough one to win for both teams, but if the Chiefs can get their few passing issues under control, they’ll be looking at yet another playoff win.
