Fresh off her gold medal wins at the Winter Olympics, figure skater Alysa Liu had an epic meeting with Simu Liu, the star of Peacock's The Copenhagen Test.

The actor— who made his Broadway debut in Oh, Mary! in February — revealed in an X post that he and the cast had a special guest who dropped by the New York City theater that hosts the show: the Team USA gold medal-winning figure skater!

The actor shared four photos of Alysa with the play's cast during her March 3 visit — and Simu and his fellow actors couldn't have looked happier to have Alysa around.

"Guess who came to see us?? alysa i am just overwhelmed with pride," Simu wrote in his X post. "Thank you for giving the world exactly what it needed — a moment of pure JOY."

Alysa has been making the rounds since the Winter Olympics ended on February 22, also recently stopping by TODAY, where she crossed paths with The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins star Daniel Radcliffe. She scored two gold medals at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, one for the figure skating team event and another for the women's individual singles event.

In a video posted by the Oh, Mary! play's Instagram account, Alysa can be seen dancing and laughing with the cast — and yes, the good vibes are every bit as infectious as her gold-medal-winning free skate at the Winter Olympics.

The Copenhagen Test star put everything in perspective by playfully commenting on the play's video post, "just a buncha Liu-natics."

Oh, and as for the elephant in the room — no, despite sharing a last name, 20-year-old Alysa and 36-year-old Simu are not related.

Simu's fiancée, Allison Hsu, even joined in on the fun, posing for photos with Simu and Alysa backstage at Oh, Mary!

Less than a week before Alysa paid him a visit, Simu addressed the topic of sharing a last name with the figure skater, acknowledging that many can't seem to figure out how to pronounce their surname.

"For absolutely not selfish reasons im really loving the discourse around pronouncing alysa’s last name. liu. lieu. LEE-you," Simu cheekily wrote on X.

So, how should you pronounce the surname?

How do you pronounce Alysa Liu and Simu Liu's last name?

According to Alysa's official Olympic athlete profile — where the figure skater can be heard saying her name out loud in an audio clip icon next to her name — it's pronounced "LEE-you." And in an Instagram video that Simu posted, he pronounced his last name the same way, "LEE-you."

So there you have it.

While this year's Olympics has ended, fans can still catch the spy thriller series The Copenhagen Test , starring Simu, as it's currently streaming in its entirety on Peacock.
