Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and her squad had a busy season in the Big Apple, solving assault crimes and murders, and dealing with an attack on the captain herself. Benson and her former partner-in-crime-fighting Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) teamed up once again to close down a revenge-for-hire crime ring, and there were hints at a future romance after the two almost shared a would-be kiss. It was nice to see Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) back with big news: she and her husband lawyer Dominick Carisi Jr. (Peter Scanavino) are welcoming a baby! Along with friends from the past, Benson also welcomed some fresh faces to the force, like junior detective Grace Muncy (Molly Burnett) to bring serial criminal Elias Olsen (Adam Petchel) to justice.

Returning to the Law & Order: SVU Season 25 cast are some familiar faces, including Hargitay as Captain Olivia Benson and Ice-T as Sergeant Odafin Tutuola. Other actors reprising their roles are Octavio Pisano as Detective Joe Velasco and Scanavino as lawyer Dominick Carisi Jr. Burnett has left the series after playing Detective Grace Muncy for one season.
