Does Peacock content support subtitles (closed captioning)?


 

Other than rare exceptions, such as trailers, subtitles are available on our content across all platforms.

How to turn on subtitles for while playing content 

On Connected TVs, Game Consoles and Streaming Devices

  1. Launch the content you would like to watch.
  2. Pause the content to make the navigation bar appear.
  3. Click up on your remote and then click right to the text bubble icon that says "Audio & Subtitles" 
  4. Then select the subtitle option you would like to use.
  5. You may have to click a button to select this choice and allow 30 seconds for the subtitles to come on.

 

For a mobile or tablet device

  1. Launch the content you would like to watch.
  2. Click anywhere on the video to pull up the video playback options.
  3. Select the text bubble icon.
  4. Then select the subtitle option you would like to use.

 

Making additional customizations


You can make additional device-specific customizations to the appearance of closed captioning and subtitles on your devices and platforms by following these steps.
 

iOS and tvOS:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Select Accessibility.
  3. Select Subtitles & Captioning in the Hearing section.

 

Android:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Go to Accessibility settings under General.
  3. Select Hearing/Audio and then Captions.

 

Xbox:

  1. Settings are available at PeacockTV.com.
